Room Divider

This sculptural room divider is made from reclaimed cedar planks and aluminum rod.

It is approximately 12 inches deep x 60 inches long x 40 inches high.

It was a weekend project back in 2005.

It started one rainy day and evolved very organically.

No drawings, just free form design, lumber and a bandsaw.

Gong and Swiss Cheese Mountain Shelves

This is a fun piece.

I always wanted to have a gong to let the neighborhood know when something special was happening, and here it is.

These pieces were built in 2004.

All of the framing and shelving material is poplar.

The gong was purchased at a music store.

The metal crosspiece is a reclaimed railing stile from an English mansion.

The tray holds stones and candles which create a nice effect at night.

As it stands the gong and set of shelves are about 7 to 8 feet wide and about 5 feet high.
