My work is best described as functional art. Some of it is utilitarian and some is not.

I work in a studio, not a mass production facility, and produce unique designs and one-of-a-kind or limited edition pieces. Quality always takes precedence over quantity.

All materials are individually selected for the particular work. Typically the wood is selected and purchased well in advance of its use in a project. A wide range of woods, both domestic and exotic, are chosen for their beauty and unique characteristics.

Natural finishes are used to honor the wood whenever possible. Stains and dyes may be used when requested.

Solid wood construction is the norm. Veneers may be used if required due to cost or construction limitations.

The pieces are hand made. This is a simple shop, with basic tools and machines.

Clean and simple lines are typically used for elegant simplicity. The style of the end product is not limited, but it is contemporary more often than not.
